This week I was deployed to Coronado Springs for a couple of days! This experience and program is such an amazing experience I’m just trying to soak in every minute!
Friday & Saturday
Friday and Saturday were both work days. I was at the front desk and they were two of the most stressful days I have had so far. I still wasn’t feeling well and because of that I made some pretty silly mistakes. The one thing that made my day better on Friday though was that it was National Coffee Day. I took one of my roommates to work, and on the way there we were able to get free coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts!
On Sunday Jerick came up and visited. He was in Orlando for a show, but because Saturday was the 35th Anniversary of EPCOT, he headed there for the morning and I was able to meet him. We walked around some of the countries, checked out the commemorative museum of EPCOT and had lunch.
That afternoon I was deployed to Coronado Springs. There was a huge symposium at The Swan and Dolphin and a lot of people were staying over at Coronado Springs. It was a busy day and I wasn’t able to see a lot of families. They even asked to extend me for a couple of hours because they needed more help.
I enjoyed working there because of how busy it was, but I didn’t like that I wasn’t able to see many families.
Monday was my day off and as usual I didn’t have much planned. I went grocery shopping with a friend and to get things for my roommates birthday which was the next day. I spent the afternoon getting everything together and that night I was able to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time this year!
I’m loving my time participating in the Disney College Program, but at the same time it’s hard because I am trying to find a job for after college and keep everything together while working a lot.
Tuesday was my roommate’s birthday. I had to work most of the day, but I was able to go with her to breakfast. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, Boma. It’s an all you care to enjoy buffet and the place Simon and I went for breakfast on our anniversary.
After breakfast I went to work where I received my midterm evaluation, meaning I’m officially six weeks away from being eligible to graduate (what??).
I headed to work at the front desk again on Wednesday. After work though I went to Magic Kingdom with one of my roommates where we shared a delicious snack of brownies and tea and took pictures. We then went dress shopping for my weekend trip and stopped by Target for some shopping.
Thursday was my second day deployed to Coronado Springs. It was busy again because of a different conference and the shift went by quickly. I thought I was scheduled to work 10 hours, but really I was only scheduled for 8. That was good because I needed time to travel because I was leaving on a trip the next day.
